Choose a spot for the nook that is away from other distractions, such as televisions, home computers, and even other siblings. Although you will want to involve your child in other decisions about the reading nook, select the location yourself to make sure it’s distraction-free.

Get creative with the use of space in the house. In fact, kids may enjoy it even more if the reading nook is a spot they usually do not hang out.
